My love of Photography

So I've decided to blog and read blogs about photography. I've always LOVED taking pictures. I've always had a camera. Up until a year and a half ago I've only had so-so cameras. My husband decided to buy me a nice one for Christmas. Since then I've been playing around and taking pictures when I can and of whomever I can.

I must give credit to my brother. You see, he's the one who got a camera first, one year before me. And it was playing around with his camera that Christmas that I realized how much I loved it!! So that's where Scott, my husband, began hearing me gripe about my lack of ability to take the kind of photo's that I longed to take. You know, the ones you see on websites and in magazines. So one year later I got one! Not one of the crazy good ones but a nice one for the average Joe.

But even with having a good camera I still didn't have a good way to edit the pictures I took. Here is where my big brother comes in, again. He was going to college and was able to get a great deal on an Adobe Lightroom 2 program. I had struggled to work with Adobe Photoshop CS4. I just couldn't make it work on my own. Brian, my brother, began to tell me about Lightroom and how much simpler it was and that I would be able to do it well. He was kind enough to bring his laptop so I could play around with the program. I soon discovered that I could, in fact, find my way around Lightroom 2.

I've added some of my pictures that I've taken with my T1i and edited with Lightroom 2.

I am still learning about Lightroom and my Canon T1i. I've been able to take senior pictures, a birthday party and a wedding so far. I've been asked to take several family sessions, too. So what I want from this blog and yours is to know how to take better photo's and how to edit better, faster and easier from all of you Lightroom 2 users out there.

Thank you for any and all input!
God bless!
